Why have I received a Standardised Form of Authorisation (FOA)? – what do I need to do?

Emailing is officially required by the regulating authority.

A registrar of gTLDs, such as switchplus, are under the control of the regulating authority ICANN. The ICANN commit the registrars to send certain emails, including the standardised form of authorisatin (FOA).

A list of other mandatory emails (incl. information on the subject, the sender and a short summary) you can find here.

What is the “standardised form of authorisation (FOA)” and what do I need to do?

  • DOMAIN transfer verification
You receive the transfer verification because you have transferred your DOMAIN away from switchplus.
  • only confirm if you have started a transfer and agree with it
  • is being sent because of a transfer request
